宿迁境内平原辽阔、土地肥沃、河湖交错，是著名的“杨树之乡”、“水产之乡”、“名酒之乡”、“花卉之乡”、“蚕茧之乡”。宿迁是全国唯一拥有洋河大曲、双沟大曲两个酒类“中国驰名商标”的地级市，洋河美酒早在1915年就获得巴拿马国际博览会金奖。宿迁盛产粮食、棉花、油料、蚕茧等，是优质农副产品产区。宿迁又是全国著名的平原绿化先进地区，活立木蓄积量达1000万立方米。宿迁还是江北的“水乡”，水域面积达350余万亩，全国四大淡水湖之一的洪泽湖湖水清澈、“日出斗金”；烟波浩淼的骆马湖水质达到常年二级水质标准；京杭大运河、古黄河穿城而过，河湖内盛产银鱼、青虾、螃蟹等50多种淡水产品。宿迁矿产资源丰富，非金属矿藏储量较大，石英砂、蓝晶石、水晶和磷矿石开发潜力巨大。

 Suqian is well known as “a land of poplar”, “a land of aquatic products”, “a land of famous liquor”, “a land of flowers” and “a land of silkworm”, which partly contribute to its vast plain, fertile land and plenty of rivers and lakes. Concretely, it is the only city in China that have two national level famous liquor brands, that is, Yanghe Liquor and Shuanggou Liquor, especially Yanghe Liquor, which won the Gold Award on Panama International Exposition as early as 1915. Suqian is also adequate in agricultural and secondary products of high quality, such as grain, cotton, oil plants pod and so on. Besides, Suqian is the countrywide famous advanced area of plain forestation, with a wood accumulation volume of 10 million cubic meters. Furthermore, Suqian is the Water Town of the South of the Yangtze River, with Hongze Lake, one of the 4 largest fresh water lakes, and Luoma Lake with the second-grade water all year around, as well as the Grand Canal and Ancient Yellow River crossing the city proper, covering a water area of over 3.5million mu, and teeming with over 50 types of aquatic products such as whitebait, shrimp, crab and so on. In addition, Suqian is abundant in mineral resources, especially nonmetal mineral resources, including quartz sand, kyanite, crystal and phosphate rock, which all have large developing potentiality.

    宿遷市内は平野が広く土地が肥沃で、川と湖が交錯して著名な「ポプラの郷」、「水産の郷」、「名酒の郷」、「花卉の郷」と「蚕と繭の郷」です。宿遷は全国唯一の洋河大曲と双溝大曲二つの酒類「中国ブランド」を持つ地級市です。洋河美酒は早く１９１５年にバナマ国際博覧会金メダルを獲得しました。宿遷は食糧、綿花、油、蚕と繭などを盛んに産出しています。良質な農副産品の生産地区です。宿遷はまた全国著名な平野緑化の先進地区で、木の貯蓄量は１０００万立方メートルに達しています。宿遷は江北の「水郷」で、水域面積は３５０万ムー余りです。全国四大淡水湖の一つ洪澤湖の湖水は清くて「日に桶金が出る」です。波しぶきが壮観な駱馬湖の水質が通年二級水質のレベルに達しています。京杭大運河と古黄河は市内を通っています。川と湖に銀魚、青蝦、蟹等５０種類余りの淡水産品を盛んに産出しています。宿遷の鉱産資源が豊かで非金属鉱の貯蔵量は比較的に大きいです。石英砂、藍晶石、水晶と磷鉱石の開発力潜在力は巨大です。
