Suqian has been well know for its location ever since ancient times, “to its north facing Shandong Province, to its south adjoining the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, being located between the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, and lying at the midway between Beijing and Nanjing”. At present, it has been built into a rising central city of the east bridgehead city group of the new Euro-Asian Continental Bridge, also a key component of East Longhai Industrial belt planned and constructed by Jiangsu Provincial Government. The length of high-grade road in Suqian has reached 220 km till now. Beijing-Shanghai expressway and Nanjing-Suqian-Xuzhou expressway come cross Suqian from north to south; and Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai’an-Yancheng expressway comes across Suqian from west to east. The three expressways combining Suqian-Xinyi and Suqian-Shuyang First-Grade road form a high-grade road network around the 60 k㎡ city proper, and then the expressway can be reached from either the city area or its counties(districts) in 10 minutes. The 205 National Road, Grand Canal and Xin-chang Railway all come across the city. Baitabu Airport and Guanyin Airport are just like two wings. In general, different transportation ways has formed a three-dimensional transport network. The framework of the central city area has been extended in all directions, the 60 k㎡ city proper having been built and 220 k㎡ area within the second ring road having been in shape. In addition, the planning area of economic development zones is 402 k㎡, 107 k㎡of which has been built. At the same time, with the modern multi-functional communications network, and the improving urban and rural power supply network and water supply system, the geographical advantages of Suqian has gradually shown as its advantage for regional development competition.

   昔から、ここは「北は斎魯を望み南は江淮に接し両水（黄河水と長江水）の中道に居するし二京（北京と南京）の咽喉を掴む」の称があります。現在、宿遷はすでに欧亜大陸橋東橋頭堡の都市群の中の新興中心都市となりました。また、省政府の企画し建設した東リュウ海産業帯の重要の組成部分です。境内は高等級道路が２２０キロに達し、京フ高速道路と寧宿徐高速道路は南北を縦貫し徐宿淮塩高速道路は東西を横断しています。その三つの高速道路は宿新と宿ジュツ一級道路と環状６０平方キロの高等級道路圏を構成しました。市内と各県は全部１０分内に高速道路に入れます。２０５国道、京杭大運河と新長鉄道は市内を通っています。また、観音空港と白塔埠空港は両翼のように宿遷を全方位の立体交通ネットとなりました。中心都市の枠組みは全面的に引きました。建設区面積は６０平方キロに達しています。「二環」が囲んだ面積は２２０平方キロに達しています。全市の経済開発区の企画面積は４０２平方キロです。その内完成区面積は１０７平方キロです。同時に一つの世界連接と現代化の多効能通信ネットはすでに完成しました。また、日増しに改善した町と郷の給電ネットと給水システムを加えて、区位優勢はもうだんだんと区位発展の競争優勢に表しています。
